I’m a guy studying English at the University of Joensuu. I’m very enthusiastic when it comes to games, movies, literature and music so those are the topics that I will be mostly talking about in this blog.
Interesting… I had to look up where Joensuu was because I’d never heard of it… smack-dab in the middle of Finland! Closest I’ve gotten is a day in Helsinki last September. I was visiting Estonia for a couple of of weeks (I am half Estonian, half Irish, was born in New York and live in New Zealand.)
Best of luck with your blog!
Veronica
You sure you’ve got the right Joensuu? Because where I live is near the Russian border:). Joensuu if translated means the mouth of a river or Joe’s mouth if you want to make a bad joke. Joki is river and joen is river’s or Joe’s. Suu means mouth. Humor doesn’t translate too well but perhaps bad jokes do.
I’m half Finnish half American and born in Lahti, got to move somewhere exciting so my roots would interest people more:P.
Hmmm… guess I didn’t look closely enough. You’re in the southern third of Finland – not far from the Russian border.
Titirangi is the village where I live in Waitakere City. I wrote a little piece on it on my blog. http://titirangistoryteller.wordpress.com/2009/02/07/titirangi
It is utterly charming and delightful – somehow caught in the 1970’s – in a good way.
As for moving to make your roots more interesting – you’ve got time…

into any web browser compatibility problems?
A couple of my blog readers have complained about my website not working correctly in Explorer but
looks great in Chrome. Do you have any solutions to help fix this problem?

Is Titirangi a Kiwi term or something?

I like your content. I’m adding you to my Contemporaries page!
Drunken Colleagues sounds a lot better than “my contemporaries page”:). Great that I’ve been deemed worthy.
PS I prefer it written Nerdrant instead of Nerd Rant;)
consider it edited. 🙂
Hey, who’s that guy on your blog banner and avatar. His from some fantasy book cover, right?
Its the Prince of Persia from a wallpaper found on the webpages of Prince of Persia Rival Swords, which they renamed the Wii version of Two Thrones.
